Lancs manufactures radiation and nuclear shielding products which reduce risk and increase the safety of workers in potentially hazardous environments. These products are used to prevent the spread of contamination and reduce exposure in radioactive arenas such as nuclear power plants, Department of Energy cleanup sites and laboratory facilities, and naval shipyards. Radiation shielding products, lead shielding, lead blankets, tungsten shielding, containment tents, sleeving, glove bags, HEPA filtered ventilation equipment, flexible HEPA-grade custom filters, and roll goods, protective clothing and respiratory equipment are some the products offered. Lancs also teaches courses in Radiological work practices, ALARA, and the use of glove bags and containment tents at our plant or at off-site nuclear facilities. This training translates into lower dose for workers, shorter outages and overall cost savings for the facility.
