QuickDecon is a manually applied water-based solution that should be scrubbed or brushed onto the surface for better results. The solution needs to be rinsed from the surface after application.

QuickDecon has three different solutions which are effective on radioactive halogens such as iodine and fluorine (QuickDecon mass effect solution H); transition metals such as cesium and cobalt (QuickDecon mass effect solution TM); and actinides such as uranium, plutonium, and americium (QuickDecon mass effect solution A).
