The Super SeaKing DST is a dual frequency digital CHIRP sonar. It is used for inspection and work class ROVs. It is capable of operating at 325 kHz or 675 kHz. When operating at 325 kHz, the sonar has a true operational range of 300 m. Switching to 675 kHz, the same sensor is capable of providing a high definition image at shorter range. CHIRP technology dramatically improves the range resolution compared with conventional sonars. It has a depth rating of 4000 m or 6800 m.
