The LTC Power Tool Center (PTC) is capable of supporting up to six vacuum shrouded mechanical type removal tools (needle gun, grinder, roto-peen, planer, scabbler, and/or scalers) simultaneously for the safe containment of the waste generated in the removal of hazardous coatings and contaminants from solid surfaces. The PTC is equipped with a primary waste filter for removal of waste particulate from the air to be exhausted. An optional in-line HEPA filter is available. The removed waste material is initially conveyed to a 16 cu. ft. waste storage chamber, from which it can be transferred through a sealed system to appropriate waste disposal containers. The LTC Needle-Gun is a hand-held needle scaler that operates within an evacuated enclosure called a shroud, which prevents the release of dust, debris, and airborne contaminants into the environment. The delivery system for the scaler consists of thin metal needles which rotates 360 degrees with a back and forth motion to scabble the desired surface media. The LTC Roto Peen scaler is a hand-held unit that operates within an evacuated enclosure called a shroud, which prevents the release of dust, debris, and airborne contaminants into the environment. The delivery system for the scaler consists of heavy-duty pistons that move in a back and forth motion to chip away at the desired surface media. The LTC Shrouded scaler hammer is a hand-held unit that operates within an evacuated enclosure called a shroud, which prevents the release of dust, debris, and airborne contaminants into the environment. Benefits

The LTC Power Tool Center can achieve a significantly higher total production rate than competing technologies if used to its full potential (i.e. if all six desurfacing tools are simultaneously employed for a given job). Basically dust-free operation. Easy to operate and required little training.

Limitations

Can not be used on wet surfaces. Not field verified.
