Master-Lee Hanford Corporation has developed power tools for the removal and installation of reactor head studs and nuts. The Stud Turnout tool has four major components and they are TurnOut/In body, Power drive assembly, Swivel joint, and Spring balance.

Comments

A load indicating spring balance is used to monitor weight and serve as a buffer between the hoist and the stud, allowing for smooth stud movement removal/installation.
