Core Plate Plugs are the solution for eliminating the potential for debris (FME) falling through the upper core plate flow holes of a nuclear reactor vessel. Any time fuel is removed from the core, debris has a direct path through the flow holes where it becomes difficult and time consuming to retrieve.
• Made from 304 stainless steel. • Prevents debris from falling down through the core plate flow hole. • Plugs are maneuvered in-place using either nylon rope or 1/16 inch nylon coated stainless steel cable.
The Core Plate Plug only consists of eight (8) standard conical-shaped plugs and one (1) wedge-shaped plug.
This of the core plate plug captures the debris, holding it in place for future removal while eliminating the possibility of it falling through a flow hole.
