The NELCO Porta Shot-Blast is a model designed for medium to large size flooring decontamination with a 10 in. cleaning path. This self propel unit utilizes a centrifugal blast wheel to propel abrasives onto the surface for material removal. This model can adjust material removal depth by the different speeds of the blast wheel or the abrasive material used. The NELCO Porta Shot-Blast has a hydrostatic transmission and variable travel speeds which allow a high production rate. The model has a self-contained onboard dust collection system, which collects dust produced during operation. The blast pattern is 10 in. and the steel shot media size of 230 - 550. The shot hopper capacity is 100 Lbs., and its travel speed is between 0 - 200 sq.ft / min. Dimensions of Tech Model (LxWxH): 78 in. x 34 in. x 57 in. Weight of Tech Model (lb.): 1,516 lbs. Dust collector capacity: 4.5 cu.ft.

Benefits

The blast wheel design produces a uniform surface profile. The production rate is high. This system is easy to operate. Does not require long time for training. Minimal set up and a single operator is needed. NELCO shot blast model have simple controls and are easy to reach, which ensure operator equipment control. This model is available for indoor or outdoor applications. Can be used on vertical or horizontal surfaces. The model has power choices including propane and gasoline. NELCO will build shot blasters depending on customer requirements.

Limitations

The system could not reach edges and corners, 4.5 in. gap edges and 9.5 corners during demonstration. The system needs a magnet broom to completely pick up waste media after operation.
