The ROTO-PEEN Scaler is a hand-held scabbling unit that is equipped with 3M Heavy Duty ROTO-PEEN Flaps, each studded with rows of tungsten carbide bits, which are mounted on a rotating hub. The scarification media are interchangeable to accommodate a variety of applications. Surface removal occurs as the tungsten carbide bits impact the work surface. This process takes place within an evacuated housing, which prevents the release of dust, debris, and airborne contaminants. The ROT-PEEN Scaler allows for adjustment of speed, depth, and angle of operation.
The support unit, the CORNER CUTTER, is a hand-held pneumatically operated needle scaler. Multiple hardened steel needles operate within an evacuated stainless steel shroud, which prevents the release of dust, debris, and airborne contamination. Standard shrouds allow the unit to conform to inside and outside corners and flat surfaces.
Both units will interface with the VAC-PAC system, which offers a two-stage positive filtration of hazardous particulates.
