En-Vac Robot Blasting System

Category: Decontamination > Mechanical Surface Removal > Grit Blasting
Reference # : Model No : BMA 403

The En-vac Robot Blasting System is an abrasive blasting technology. The complete system consists of the robot, a recycling unit, a filter unit and a vacuum unit. The technology model is capable of surface removal from steel, concrete and other surfaces that are up to 100 ft vertically and 300 ft horizontally from the support machinery. On curved surfaces, the robot requires a minimum radius of 9 ft. The entire system can be remotely operated using a portable joystick controller. The blasting abrasives are collected, separated from waste and recycled many times before being replaced by new abrasive. Removed surface and the spent abrasive are collected and confined in the system for easy disposal. Dimensions (L, W, H) and weight: Robot: 46 in. x 46 in. x 20 in., 310 lbs Recycling unit: 78 in. x 78 in. x 96 in., 4000 lbs FIlter unit: 72 in. x 72 in. x 96 in., 2200 lbs Vacuum unit: 104 in. x 72 in. x 82 in., 6400 lbs

Benefits

Remotely controlled. It reduces worker fatigue and exposure to hazardous surfaces. The robot can be setup up to 100 ft vertically and 300 ft horizontally from the support equipment. All abrasive and residues are collected, separated and grit is recycled within the system. Safe Environment. No dust emissions, no contaminated water emissions, and work site is kept clean. En-vac's rugged filter unit collects all light blasting residues to eliminate fugitive emissions.

Limitations

The En-vac Robot Blasting System Technology is designed for decontamination jobs on large surfaces. It is not fully efficient for small surfaces due to the long setup time, relatively large removal gaps, and frequent slow turns.
